Chelsea strikers are not striking — this problem has overcome all club problems and issues in the past years, and still is the biggest problem Chelsea has. It is chronic that Chelsea has very bad strikers who are not scoring goals.
The team has sold many attackers during the summer window, replaced them with two new strikers, and can’t rely on them again. Chelsea has paid a very big many for Joao Pedro, very big for the club’s standards, since they are not overpaying the players and are not gambling. Following the new structure, ownership took over the club- Chelsea is not overplaying players like they did with Joao Pedro.

Joao Pedro was a great gamble, and that was not a success. They have missed with a striker once again. The problems with a striker at Chelsea continue. We have seen Joao Pedro in attack for many games now and weeks. He was not injured; he was playing. He wasn’t a threat to opponents, he wasn’t in the chances, and he was very weak. Looked like the player was less for Chelsea.
In Chelsea’s history, we can remember many flop strikers that were highly overpaid such as Shevchenko, Torres, Higuaín, Morata, Aubameyang, Eto’o, Lukaku, Batshuayi, Pato, Falcao, and many others.
This season strikers 2025/2026:

Jackson committed treason at Chelsea
Chelsea had Nkunku, who was sold to Milan. Félix was sent to Milan on loan and sold to a Saudi club. Chelsea has also sold Nicolas Jackson, who was the first striker in two straight seasons, due to his great wish to leave the club for Bayern Munich.
Maresca can use George in the false 9 position and has Guiu for replacement for Delap and João Pedro.
Chelsea strikers (all of them):
João Pedro is another striker who does not strike at all; he catches the ball and then passes it. He isn’t a striker that defenders fear, and he can’t pull two players on his back.
Liam Delap is returning, and it is key for Chelsea. He is good in position, very aggressive in the box, opening fast, but isn’t close to a perfect player. He isn’t returning for the ball and is seeking chances and the ball at his feet. He is also known as a very aggressive player who makes many fouls when he puts opponents under pressure.
Mark Guiu is a striker without experience, didn’t prove himself, and hasn’t been scoring much at all in his career. He is not very fast and can’t make a big impact on the game.

Chelsea have returned David Washington, a striker from Brazil, who isn’t ready to play at this moment and wasn’t regularly in the team on loan in the Brazilian league. He won’t be successful sometime soon in his Chelsea career
Mhueka is the next striker from the academy and needs further development. He was scoring many goals for the second Chelsea team many goals and the English national team. He isn’t ready for the first team and hasn’t reached that level yet. He’s had a debut for Chelsea in the Premier League. It isn’t ready yet for the first team’s great impact.
Emanuel Emegha is a striker Chelsea has left on loan in Strasbourg, currently injured. Surely, he will be at Chelsea in January, he will start at Chelsea in January, and Chelsea will be desperate to take him into the first team in January since they have missed with a striker.
George as false 9 is a situation that is unfortunately very real for Chelsea fans after so many striker talks and developments.

Satpeev from Kairat is another Chelsea loaned player who is doing very well both in the team and the Kazakhstan national team. He has played for the senior Kazakhstan team and the youth one, and was scoring goals. He is on the right track, but will probably be loaned somewhere else next summer.
Chelsea isn’t counting on David Datro Fofana, who has been loaned again in the Turkish league.
So Chelsea has João Pedro, who is not striking. Many reckon he is an attacking midfielder by behavior on the pitch – by performances, he really looks like that, but was a striker paid 75 million to be a first choice striker in the Chelsea team, like during the Club World Cup— not scoring, no openings, not creating, just doing some passes. Chelsea will have Emenega in January in the striker position, Liam Delap, Guiuu can’t be counted on seriously, George as false 9, Neto as false 9, and very weak João Pedro. Emegha will be there.

Maybe Chelsea will fall under pressure and turn to a proven striker who is at Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen is the one. They need to pay big here, and it is not much of a gamble. They need to pay much greater wages to the Nigerian side to take him into the club. So, Chelsea might have him, Emegha, and Delap while Joao Pedro is a flop., Satpaev and Mhueka are for the future.
Chelsea needs a striker — and not strikers who are not striking, such as Nkunku, Félix, João Pedro, low-quality Guiu, Datro Fofana, David Washington, and former side Broja.
Now, Chelsea is stuck with Liam Delap; they really need him to fit in well with the team. Likely, Chelsea has signed two strikers, and it is time for Delap to show his great skills at Stamford Bridge. They really need him to be great.
