
Tottenham Hotspur can confirm that Lucas Bergvall has undergone surgery on his left ankle today.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who has made significant progress this season after earning regular first-team opportunities, suffered a high ankle sprain during Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
Bergvall has now begun his rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the club’s medical staff and will continue his recovery before returning to the pitch.
