Everton- Winning on individuality and money- not good for any future

Everton has beaten Brighton at the beginning of the season, been better than Wolverhampton in the league, had a draw with Aston Villa, and lost to Liverpool.
These results are very good, but what lies in the background is the real reason for their respectable Premier League campaign so far. Their results are not realistic, and they have reached them with multiple factors that were going on their side: starting from a new stadium opening and late interference in the transfer market, and signing a few experienced players who can play instantly for the team and who can gain points for them. They are regular Premier League players and players who have a real quality, playing in the league for years.
The new stadium opening has helped Everton to make acclimatization on their side with players who are already integrated into the system. They have been here for years and have implemented a defensive pattern with their manager. Additionally, Everton has signed Taylor Dibling from Southampton for £ 40 million. They have paid 30 million for Villarreal’s Barry, and they have signed a very experienced Premier League player, Jack Grealish, on loan from Manchester City.
Further transfer market activities
They have also strengthened the team with Conference League winner and last season’s Chelsea player, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who brings both offensive and defensive impact. They have signed Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo for 15 million and also Adam Aznou, a former Bayern Munich defender.
These were very smart moves with players who can help from the beginning. The great players who are in form and can play instantly, also younger players who need to adapt, and some in the attacking area who can develop this season and become a very important part of the team. But that is where the real gamble is.
They spent over 129 million euros on the players, so they have started this campaign well because experienced David Moyes realized his team wasn’t good enough and didn’t have enough quality players for the upcoming season.
It lacked quality, and Moyes and his staff have realized this. That is the reason they have entered the market so late. They entered the transfer market very hard. Signed a few stars who can carry their game and earn them points. They have signed full players who need to adapt a future stars such as Alcaraz and Aznou. So they have reached the position they wanted to be in with big investments. Very big investments.
They have been lucky to already have players like defenders Tarkowski, Mykolenko, and James Branthwaite. When you add new acquisitions to the team, then Everton has quality, and it is a good team for real.
The situation in the club isn’t that good at all. Also, as we said, Everton interfered in the market late and started signing new players. If that was last year’s squad, they would be in a very bad situation. They have reached a greater level by entering the market.
Hungry and experienced Jack Grealish was making an impact and is still making an impact, but a much smaller one now. They have a great Garner who has developed this season, but collectively they don’t have a team for big things and great victories. They have two similar strikers and are not depending on them at the moment. Barry and Beto are not scoring — at this moment, that isn’t seen in the results, but it will be in December and November.
Post Calvert- Lewin time in Everton
The lack of Calvert-Lewin is very visible. Even though he wasn’t a player with the highest grades, he was an experienced Premier League striker who was scoring goals week after week and an important part of the team. He was always in the chance, even if he didn’t score, he was dangerous.
It was a clear decision of Moyes to sell Lewin; he has come to his destination. He has decided it is time for Everton to change its game, and in that plan, there was no Calvert-Lewin. In this stage of the project, Lewin was identified as unnecessary and had left for Leeds.
Time for new players
He now has to deal with Barry and Beto; they will develop, but it worries David Moyes for sure. They will be needed very soon, and they have to be on their level.
If things don’t go good for Everton soon, they can finish their season in the relegation battle, a hard relegation battle. This isn’t a team that will bring a very good future for the club, but they can have a good season. The points will start dropping, and they will not be on the level by December. They will return to reality, and things are going to be much clearer than now.
So for now, they have paid for their table position with money, and they have masked their real quality.
The new stadium
The new and beautiful stadium for Everton has given them better infrastructure, a great atmosphere, and led them to the winning they are hoping for. This is a factor that has helped them reach so many points in their home stadium.
It is going to be where interesting first season at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium after entering the season so good with good momentum and high rhythm now. Expectations for Everton are now extremely high.
