“The Brazilians are coming”. Éderson to Manchester United is a done deal!

Manchester United continue their recruitment drive in Brazil. After moving for attackers Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, the club has now turned its attention to Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with reports suggesting the Red Devils are prepared to pay around £35 million for the Brazilian.
Despite not being selected by Carlo Ancelotti for Brazil’s latest national team squad, Ederson remains highly regarded across Europe. The midfielder endured a disappointing season with Atalanta, as the Italian side failed to meet expectations both domestically and in Europe.
Atalanta’s campaign briefly showed promise. After defeating Chelsea and improving their form in Serie A and European competition, they overcame Borussia Dortmund in a high-intensity two-legged tie. However, their momentum was short-lived.
In the following round, they suffered a heavy aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich, losing 6-1 and 4-1, which effectively ended their hopes of a successful campaign.
Casemiro has been cold up by Ancelotti, and Ederson was not even close, but Manchester United wanted another similar signing like Mbuemo and Cunha.
Ederson’s tactical adaptation to Manchester United
“The second time around”

He excels at linking different areas of the pitch, dictating the tempo of matches, and delivering accurate forward passes. His energy and ability to cover large areas of the field make him a valuable asset in modern football.
Tactical side of the matter.
His Brazilian flair, composure on the ball, and tactical intelligence are key reasons why Manchester United see him as an attractive option. A player of Ederson’s profile could help United dominate possession more effectively while increasing the number of quality passes played into attacking areas.
His potential partnership with Matheus Cunha on the left side could become one of United’s most dangerous attacking combinations. Ederson’s passing range and creativity would provide Cunha with more opportunities to influence matches in advanced positions.
Meanwhile, Amad Diallo’s ability to attract defenders and create space could also benefit players such as Bryan Mbeumo. The additional room created by Diallo’s movement would allow United’s attackers to operate more freely and become more effective in the final third.
If Manchester United complete the signing of Ederson, the move could significantly improve the team’s overall style of play.
His presence would help the club control matches more consistently, play more progressive football, provide more protection of possession with security and composure, and become stronger contenders in next season’s Premier League campaign.
A four-year contract lasting until June 2030, with a club option to extend by an additional 12 months, will be signed between Manchester United and the player from Brazil.
