Srećko Šijaković But it will be difficult without Ireola. They should know that.
A historic moment for AFC Bournemouth. 🍒
After years of climbing through the English football pyramid, Bournemouth have officially secured European football for the first time ever. From a club that was once fighting in the lower divisions to now representing England on the European stage — it is one of the greatest growth stories in modern football.
“The Andoni Iraola era at AFC Bournemouth will always be remembered as the period that changed the club forever.“
Massive credit belongs to the players, recruitment team, supporters, and especially manager Andoni Iraola, whose aggressive and fearless style transformed Bournemouth into one of the Premier League’s most exciting sides.
Vitality Stadium will now host European nights. History made.
A new era is now approaching for AFC Bournemouth because Andoni Iraola is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
That makes Bournemouth’s achievement even more emotional. The manager who delivered the greatest success in the club’s history — European qualification — may not even lead them into Europe next season.
European football brings excitement, pressure, bigger expectations, and a much more demanding schedule. The next manager will inherit history, but also enormous responsibility.
