This is a story of the decade for Manchester City, and I can imagine how this bothers and frustrates their fans. Manchester City is bleeding badly under Guardiola‘s leadership and screams for a manager who can beat opponents with a good mentality, great football, good tactics, and be able to lead the team through a hard 90 minutes of football against Newcastle and Chelsea.
Manchester City needs a manager who can make Halland and Doku score against Newcastle in this form, and not the manager who has four clean chances against him, in the Newcastle match, only in the first half.
They don’t need a manager who is hiding behind his name for historical trophies with Bayern and Barcelona in his previous career.
After every progress made by Manchester City, which has come after a long and hard effort of the team, comes the situation in which Guardiola needs to lead the team well and seek success and victory, but each time he leads the team critically. By the pattern now, they end up losing crucial match points and get eliminated.
He only needs not to make one or two mistakes, but he makes both and delivers a massive blow to the team. The team has been great at the beginning, and it looked promising, but it all ended falling into the water after his poor substitutions, a very bad leading team, and turning everything against him and Manchester City.
This has now been a scenario seen so many times.

Every football match, when Manchester City needs three points and has a game and the potential to win, Pep Guardiola loses, and City falls hard. Whether it is a Premier League game to join the top, or it is a semi-final of the Cup or the final of the FA Cup, Pep Guardiola will find a way to lose it.
Just look at the Manchester City run at the Club World Cup; they were eliminated tragically, and then Pep was very rude at the press conference. The team was better, but could not find a way to score. That run has hit the team hard.
If he is the best coach in the Premier League, why is he not dividing hardly on other Premier League managers by wins and points? Why has he not had huge victories and ruthless stats against opponents’ team managers?
Why is he not beating the team heavily and getting respect for being great? What is keeping him from other managers who have 30 or 40 times smaller budgets than he has? How and why is Guardiola the best?
I will explain the Guardiola case with one sentence: “If he is the greatest, why is he not winning then, why is he not winning everywhere and against anybody?

It will spin again
What did he do last January? Who has he signed? How many players? What were the fees? Was he saving the season when it was visible Liverpool would beat him in the title race?
Who is behind the Guardiola lobby – and Manchester City’s spending hundreds of millions every transfer window?
Is he that great that he needs that great players every transfer window? Is that a depth of his greatness?
What is the lobby saying behind him? What lobby is saying this man is the best coach in the world? He had two Champions League finals in nine years at City, which is extremely poor. He lost one of the two finals played, against the English opponent Chelsea, who outplayed them in the final of 2021.
Who allows Pep Guardiola to spend 300 million or more each summer and create and improve his squad? Why does nobody comment on it? Why does everybody acknowledge it or say it? Do the media and fans like it?
One thing is certain: the day will shine tomorrow, the rivers will flow, and Guardiola will be on the market for his team in Manchester City in January and also in June with heavy fees.
When you see Guardiola at Manchester City, that happened in 2016, you would expect that team to be now, in nine years, inside of City project.
You would expect, in 2025, by now to see Manchester City as, be the best team in England, also in Europe and playing regularly the least a quarter-final of Champions League each season or even a semi-final. You would expect to see City playing recognisable and fantastic football with charisma, football technique, with some breathtaking passes of the masters of football and fans gloating in the stands of Etihad Stadium.
For what were billions spent? For what result? For what purpose? For how many trophies?

But Guardiola is also a very bad loser should keep at least some level of integrity and stop going to Eddie Howe‘s locker room when he loses. At least he was not getting there at times when he was beating Eddie Howe with Manchester City.
One thing is certain: they will spend 150 million in January and again in the summer, but why does nobody speak about it, and why are Manchester City and Pep Guardiola not being stopped?
There is still no law process going against them since they have settled with the Premier League.
I don’t bother with the talking of people who don’t understand the game and the same kids’ opinion, but why is Guardiola getting high ratings and the voice of the people on the side of the media? Did they expect this low City improvement when Guariola became Manchester City manager? Did they expect results to be so low?
Put your real judgment on the substitutes, on transfers and fees over the decade, on not being able to make Haaland score again Newcastle. Explain to me how Doku did not score today against Newcastle. It is quite simple, he had Guardiola as manager!
Give your judgment on his time at the club, the expectations he had, the money he spent, and what he achieved, finals he lost. It is not all working for him.

Will he still be ruining City football for years? Is he that unable to make Doku score against Newcastle in this form? Newcastle had five one-per-cent chances in the first half only. How was he not able to make Haaland score after his last weak performance with the Norway National Team and his form?
Will he get the verdict for the season and for nine years in the club, or will he be considered untouchable without a reason?
Is he some kind of brand of Etihad Stadium?
